Hi All-
We're once again participating in the annual statewide yarn crawl-this is our tenth event! 21 stores are in, from Avon to Northvale, and from Chester to Union...details on the stores and their hours/location can be found on the website here. What's a Wool Walk? It's our state's annual "Yarn Crawl," where you visit participating shops for a festive yarn tour filled with bonus discounts and prizes!
The crawl's hours will be will be Wednesday -Saturday 10AM-5PM and Sunday, 11AM-4PM. Those are our open hours as well; some stores might be open even longer so check the website.
Thought we'd like to share some of Knitapestry's events and rules of the road here.
First:
We'll have sales and giveaways! In order to participate, you'll need to purchase a passport for $6 ($1 will go to the Community Food Bank of NJ). You'll get your passport stamped in-person at each store you visit. You don't have to make a purchase to get "stamped." Turn your signed passport in at the last store you visit for even more prizes! You don't have to visit more than one store to enter the post-walk drawings. And remember to sign your passport!
Each shop will have its own special colored stitch marker, which can be purchased for $3.00. (They'll be free with a $35 purchase while supplies last.)
We'll have our sale tables out from Wednesday through Saturday. On Sunday, Ispie Raffia will host a trunk show of her premium raffia yarns, perfect for totes, hats and accessories. Crochet alert here!
We've upped our Kit Game...there are loads, at various price points. Kits are prepackaged, prepriced and labeled to show what's included. Some already include discounts. No substitutions.
Next: Rules of the road
*We won't have a winder for the Wool Walk, but you can bring your skeins back to be wound as early as Monday, April 22nd. Sorry, we can't hold them for you at the store.
*Sale yarns are final sale. Only yarn will be on Wool Walk sale- not needles, buttons or notions.
*No special orders-only what's in inventory is on sale.
*Not all brands are on sale, but some are on closeout.
*It may be busy, so hard for us to provide pattern help-come with ideas. It may be hard to answer the age-old question, "What can I make with this?" so get some inspiration ahead of time.
*We won't be able to print patterns during the walk.
*The sale is an in-store only event, so sale prices won't show up on website/online.
*Remember, once it's gone, it's gone!
