Michelle Kupfer is hosting her classes on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. The next sessions of 90 minutes scheduled for July will be three Saturdays ($60) or four Thursdays ($80).
The July series will be held on Thursdays, 5:15-6:45PM, July 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st; Saturdays will be 11:00AM-12:30PM, July 12th, 19th, and 26th.

Sign up for either Thursday or Saturday. There will be a 10% discount on supplies purchased for your class project. Classes are for those who already know the basics (how to knit and purl), and we’ll focus on building your skills in a fun and relaxed class setting. See Michelle’s patterns on Ravelry for ideas and inspiration for class projects.  Call or email the store to sign up. There is also a signup link on the website HERE.
Marie Greene of Olive Knits is once again hosting a national 4-day sweater Knitalong! The theme for 2025 is Astro Pop.

Knitapestry is excited to participate in the annual summer Knitalong. Marie will have her cast-on as the pattern drops on July 4th. We'll host three hybrid events at the shop and on Zoom on Thursday evenings July 10th, 17th and 31st.
We're recommending Rosarios4's Balada and also Alvor; Kelbourne's Skipper; Wooldreamers' Sauna; Rowan Felted Tweed and Kaos' Skinny Andean Singles. All are available on the website.
BUY THE PATTERN IN-STORE OR BY CALLING THE SHOP.
Come knit the Beatriz Cardigan with Gemma on Saturday mornings in August. Three sessions, 8/9 (9-10:30AM), 8/16 (9-10:30AM), and 9/6, 9-10AM.  Cost: $50 in person, $45 virtually. Includes the pattern and a 10% discount on supplies purchased for the class.

You've probably seen our beautiful sample in the shop, or else spied it on Instagram, where it's been hugely popular. Knit in worsted weight, it's a CocoKnits pattern. CocoKnits has earned a reputation for sweater patterns that not only look great, but fit well and are flattering. The patterns are clear and have interesting details and unique construction, which is why Gemma is hosting a class. She'll of course have her signature videos, and you can take the class in-person or remotely. To sign up, call the shop or sign up online.
MaryAnn Gebhardt has done a thing!   She's published a journal, complete with guidance, some meditations and daily insights. Save the date for Sunday, August 17th ( note change of date) for Knitting Meditation and a book signing! (Time TBD.)
We'll do a little knitting or crochet, and discuss how these crafts can improve our well-being and mental health, and have a bit of guided meditation. Free with purchase of book-we'll have copies available for sale shortly; $20 without purchase. To register, call the shop or sign up online.
Crochet Workshop with Clayton Leadbetter-Monday mornings from 10-11:30 AM. 10% discount for supplies purchased in-store for his workshop.

Clayton is offering his Crochet Workshop at Knitapestry! If you have experience with crochet, join him to learn new techniques as well as get guidance.  You'll need to buy a "book" of 4 90-minute sessions for $80; since the classes don't have to be taken in consecutive weeks, you must let Clayton know you're coming. We ask that you use those prepaid sessions within six months. Buy your sessions through the shop. It'll be available online soon as well. And we recommend one or two private lessons if you're a beginner: call the shop to set one up.
Beginning Knitting with Anna-Thursdays, after the store closes at 4PM; sign up for 8 sessions for $130.

Anna will host beginning knitting classes weekly. You'll learn the skills so you can call yourself a knitter!  The package includes 8 hours of instruction. Classes do not have to be in sequential weeks and you can opt to take two hours in a row if you're rocking! (She will also make herself available on the same basis for her "My First Sweater" class. Supplies purchased in-store get a 10% discount.

Preregistration required-YOU MUST CALL BEFORE YOU BEGIN TO MAKE SURE THERE'S ROOM IN THE ONGOING CLASS. Please don't just stop in : )

Punch Card Hour is now on GroupSpot!

Charmaine is ready to help you tackle whatever is holding up your project----a dropped stitch? can't remember where you are? or maybe even deciphering the pattern.  PUNCH CARD is the place to figure it out so you can keep knitting.

You can join Charmaine's PCH Group on GroupSpot by clicking this link.

Sessions occur when the store is closed and follow the COVID policies of the store.  You can purchase a 5 or 10 punch card (get your 11th punch free) or simply drop in for $12.  No RSVP needed.  Feel free to contact Charmaine directly here, with any further questions.
Knit the Rainbow is a charity dedicated to helping at-risk LGBTQ youth. We'll be a drop-off location for garments for this group. (And no, items don't have to be rainbow-colored!) DONATIONS SUSPENDED FOR THE SEASON.

"Knit the Rainbow (KtR) was founded in April, 2020 after the Founder, Austin Rivers, discovered the housing disparities facing LGBTQ+ youth in New York City. Austin learned there were a few nonprofits dedicated to providing housing and/or shelter for this community; however, he knew there was still more to be done; this is where KtR was born.

Austin learned to knit while performing on a tour in Japan and felt he could use these skills to provide warm protective winter garments for LGBTQ+ youth facing homelessness. KtR hopes to educate people across the country about the housing crisis these youth are facing and increase the number of youth served by asking volunteers to knit or crochet at home and donate the garments to KtR to be distributed in New York City and Chicago."

Yarn Donations for Ridgecrest Senior Housing:
Help local residents make hats and clothing for a variety of charities. These knitters are motivated and prolific...we're happy to play our small part!  We'll take your CLEAN yarn (YARN ONLY) and bring it to the senior center, where residents will work on their projects.  Your destash is ultimately comfort for a person in need, and there's the added piece where these knitters connect and are engaged not only with each other, but with the community. Please: no needle or book donations.
