We are participating in our 9th New Jersey Wool Walk, from Wednesday, April 23rd through Sunday, April 27th. Our hours will be Wednesday-Saturday, 10AM-5PM and Sunday, 11AM-4PM. The NJWW is a statewide event, with 22 participating shops. Buying a passport for $6 allows you to join the fun of sales/giveaways as well as become eligible for prizes in NJWW raffle(s) after the walk. ($1 from each passport will be sent to the Community Food Bank of NJ.) You get a stamp for each store you visit, no purchase required. Shops commit to have substantial inventory on sale, and there are in-store events, like prize drawings and trunk shows. We are thrilled to once again host NJ Fiberworks for a trunk show of their beautiful yarns on Saturday!

We will have passports (available now) and the annual "collectible," a tape measure, available for preorder in-store and online while supplies last. Store-specific stitch markers are available for preorder as well-both for knitters and crocheters at $3 each, or you can get one for free for a $35 purchase during the walk (Passport required). Not all of our yarns will be on sale. We won't be able to wind your purchases nor print patters until after the walk is complete.

The Thursday evenings group will next work on a color work shawl, "Nordic Mix," by Our next Thursday night knitalong will be the Nordic Mix Shawl by Laura Dalgaard: "The Nordic Mix Shawl is the perfect accessory this winter. The Nordic Mix Shawl is a large, triangular shawl with spectacular fringes. The Nordic mix design really shines in this piece, with the fringes adding a new dimension to the series! The shawl is knitted in the round following a diagram, with steek stitches, from the widest edge to the tip. Once the shawl is knitted, it is steeked. The steek stitches are then unraveled to create fringes, which are tied together. Wear the Nordic Mix Shawl either as a scarf, a headpiece or as a classic shawl. No matter what, the Nordic Mix Shawl is a great way to make any outfit look chic whilst keeping you warm."
This group is mainly social...no instruction is given. We'll meet on Zoom on March 27th and April 17th. Call the store or email us to sign up for this free knitalong.

In this Fiberside Chat, Anna Johanna will be discussing her love of colorwork and slow making, letting things take time. Johanna will be sharing both her favorite designs from her books, Strands of Joy vol. I & II, as well as her trusted tips and tricks for all things colorwork. You will also get a glimpse behind the scenes on some epic makes where it definitely was at least as much about the process as it is about the end product.

Knit the Rainbow is a charity dedicated to helping at-risk LGBTQ youth. We'll be a drop-off location for garments for this group. (And no, items don't have to be rainbow-colored!) DONATIONS SUSPENDED FOR THE SEASON.
"Knit the Rainbow (KtR) was founded in April, 2020 after the Founder, Austin Rivers, discovered the housing disparities facing LGBTQ+ youth in New York City. Austin learned there were a few nonprofits dedicated to providing housing and/or shelter for this community; however, he knew there was still more to be done; this is where KtR was born.
Austin learned to knit while performing on a tour in Japan and felt he could use these skills to provide warm protective winter garments for LGBTQ+ youth facing homelessness. KtR hopes to educate people across the country about the housing crisis these youth are facing and increase the number of youth served by asking volunteers to knit or crochet at home and donate the garments to KtR to be distributed in New York City and Chicago."
