Hi All-
Marie Greene of Olive Knits has shared her latest design for this summer's Knitalong (but only with shop owners for now)! Her chosen theme is "Astro Pop."
Nine years ago, Marie challenged herself to knit a sweater over a Fourth of July weekend-and she did it. In a group. That group has grown to a nationwide collection of knitters of every stripe, and every level of expertise. (The "4-day part" is now a tagline only.)
We are participating for the third time after the success of the first two.
We will participate in a free Zoom call with Marie on June 5th at 7PM to sketch out the basics, discussing fit, design and yarn ideas, and she will answer customer questions. We will have our own sample to show. Here's the link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/xQ0bvWAgQtGAbqAdvN96VQ
Marie will release the pattern on May 23rd.
The Knitalong will kickoff on Friday, July 4th in the OliveKnits Facebook group. Knitapestry will host three hybrid Knit nights on July 10th, 17th and 31st. In order to participate, we require that you buy the pattern from us. If you also buy the yarn from us, you'll get the KAL for free. If you choose to use stash yarn, it'll be $20 in-person or $15 for the Zoom option. We'll have a little party on the 10th, with some fun swag. Note-we'll limit the number of participants for the in-person option.
